BACARDI CUBA LAUNCHES BÉNÉDICTINE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
A limited-edition contemporary bottle of the herbal liqueur will been launched in travel-retail at Singapore Changi airport
Liquor supplier Bacardi Cuba Global Travel Retail will launch this month a limited-edition bottle of Bénédictine D.O.M (pictured) in duty-free to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the herbal liqueur. The contemporary bottle will be revealed on May 12 during the Tax Free World Association Asia Pacific exhibition in Singapore at an exclusive anniversary dinner.
The new-look bottle will be available from June 1 exclusively with travel retailer DFS Group at Singapore Changi airport. In July, the limited-edition Bénédictine will be launched in Malaysian duty-free. Its design is inspired by antique bottles used for the liqueur over 100 years ago, with a black cloak referring to monks’ robes and the mystery surrounding the recipe.
Bacardi Cuba Global Travel Retail director of Asia/Pacific Aude Rocourt said: “Bénédictine D.O.M is the oldest brand in the Bacardi Cuba portfolio, and is rich in heritage. Its secret recipe dates back to 1510 when Bénédictine monk Dom Bernardo Vincelli created the famous liqueur. We are thrilled to mark the 500th anniversary of the Bénédictine recipe in Singapore, where it enjoys its highest popularity.”
